Julia Evans is a homeschooled senior. Julia loves all kinds of music, and listens to her extensive
playlist whenever she is not practicing one of her instruments - she plays piano, ukulele, and clarinet. She rings with
a seasonal handbell choir, and she sings, as well. She is a fan of Dr. Who, loves knitting (socks and gloves), reads
a lot, and writes adventure novels.
Victoria Hilton has been playing piano for eight years. She has competed for the past six years
at local and state levels, earning multiple "superior" ratings. She recently competed at the Tennessee State
Music Teachers Assiciation competition in Chattanooga, earning a "superior" rating for her solo, and winning runner
up in the junior ensemble category for her duets with Micaela Shields. Victoria is also a violist with the Collierville
Schools orchestra. She is an honors student and will be a 10th grader this fall at Collierville High School. She
is involved with the puppet ministry at Collierville Baptist Church and enjoys swimming, training for a 5K race, and listening
to music. Miss Hilton is excited about the opportunity to assist Miss Lisa at her piano studio and hopes to cultivate
a life-long love of music in herself and others.
Liam Andrew Nutt is a 16 year old homeschooler from Collierville. He has competed in and won numerous
piano competitions around the mid south. He enjoys sharing his love of music with others, giving concerts in nursing
homes and retirement communities. In addition to piano, Liam dances 20 hours per week on a full scholarship. His
genres include jookin, HipHop, African, Tap, Jazz, and Modern, but his focus is in ballet. When time permits, he is
a hard core Gamer!
Jaylyn Rock is a fourteen year old sophomore at Collierville
High School. She has been playing piano for eight years, and she recently won third place in the high school division of the
Lane Music Piano Competition. She enjoys all eras of piano music, but favors the romantic era. Her favorite composers are
Chopin, Debussy, and Tchaikovsky. In addition, she has played the violin for two years and is a member of the Collierville
High School Orchestra. She likes reading all genres of books and is learning French in her spare time.
Micaela L. Shields is a tenth grade student at Olive Branch High School. She is the daughter of
proud parents, Neil and Genitra Shields. Her hobbies are reading, shopping, and listening to music. She is a member
of the National Junior Honors Society. Micaela played the oboe in the OBMS band. Last school year, she made the
State Band Clinic and the I55 Honor's Band. To add to these accomplishments, she received the Director's Choice Award
for the 2014-2015 school year. Ms. Micaela Shields is also a member of the Mississippi State Champion Color Guard Team!!
She is the 2015 runner up in the Junior Ensemble category of the Tennessee Music Teachers Association competition at the University
of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Micaela has been playing piano under the leadership of Lisa Fairchild for five years.
